Boom News (爆炸頭) is an independent Hong Kong online news outlet run by journalist Tang Ho-wing (鄧浩榮) — a Chinese University computer-science graduate and former student- and online-press reporter who built the "爆炸頭" brand of street reporting and live-streams from around 2020 — with a following of some 200,000, publishing chiefly through Facebook. On 30 September 2026, national-security police arrested Tang (37) and former League of Social Democrats member Lee Ying-chi (李盈姿, 58) for allegedly "spreading false information" with seditious intent under section 24 of the 2024 Safeguarding National Security Ordinance — an offence carrying up to seven years — over coverage of the 31 August commemorations of the 2019 Prince Edward MTR incident; the force confirmed the arrests on 1 October. The Hong Kong Journalists Association's response — "reporting is not sedition" — and the wider pattern are on the Press Freedom under Siege hub.
Because an outlet that lives on a platform can vanish with a single account takedown, this page preserves Boom News's Facebook presence as a self-contained web archive (WACZ) that replays in your browser — the timeline, photos, videos, reels and about pages as captured on 30 September – 1 October 2026.
